How to: Renew a Contact Lens Prescription On-the-Go

IMG_2387-2

If you don't have 2020 vision, you can relate to the frustration of having to go to the doctor to renew a contact lens prescription when you already know that it has not changed. It's annoying, it's unnecessary and it's time-consuming. And if you're someone like me who travels often, it's near impossible!

Enter: Simple Contacts.

Frankly, I am dumbfounded that Simple Contacts is the first to offer a solution to the above problem. But they did and it's genius.

To renew your prescription, all you need to do is download the Simple Contacts app (link here). You'll first answer a few questions about your medical history, then take a red eye test that consists simply of moving your eyes around in different directions.

Next is the vision test. Place your phone ten feet away from your face and read the letters that appear out loud.

Et voila!

Fill out your shipping and billing information, and put in your contacts order. Simple as that. You've just saved yourself weeks of waiting for a doctor's appointment and hours of waiting at the office.

Thank you, Simple Contacts, for making all of our lives easier.

The worst is when you’re ready to travel and go out of town, and realize you’re low on contacts. I didn’t know about this app. Thanks for letting us know.
