How You Can Use Instagram & Facebook Ads to Elevate Your Business

How did you get started working in the ads world and create Elevate Her Marketing?
Frannie’s journey started in NYC, working in an office for a startup. She wanted to do more digital marketing, so Frannie started taking online courses to learn about social media and creativity.
“My aunt owned her own business and my uncle was starting to do Facebook ads.” Frannie shares, “We would have calls at 7am and he would teach me. Then, I would work at 7pm doing my Facebook stuff.”
Frannie’s uncle now runs an e-commerce agency, but back then they ran ads for online course creators, like Amy Porterfield.
“That’s when I realised I really loved marketing for online course creators,” Frannie reflects. “Taking online courses helped me with my own work and I realised I was so much more connected to marketing those types of businesses. That’s where EHM was born!”
“I started with another typical remote digital nomad story” Frannie jokes. “I went to Bali, met my first client and then the rest was history, I guess! There’s so much power in the traction of Facebook and Instagram ads, no matter what you’re doing.”
What are the different things people can use Instagram & Facebook ads for?
“Instagram and Facebook ads are traffic drivers. They gain traction for your business and allow you to grow so much faster than you could on your own” Frannie explains.
“Say you release a new podcast and you want people to listen to it. You can run ads directly to your podcast; or your youtube, or your email list, your blog, maybe you even want more followers on your Instagram… You obviously need to be strategic with all those things. You can grow with Instagram and Facebook ads and get crazy numbers that don’t have a positive impact on your business. If you build strategically, with your audience in mind, you can gain traction for almost anything in your business.”
What are some of the biggest myths when it comes to Instagram and Facebook ads?
“One of the biggest is that people don’t see them as attainable as they really are. Sure, if you’re looking for that $100,000 in profit result, that is something you have to work towards. However, the reason you get that is by starting at $5-10 per day.” Frannie breaks down.
Another thing Frannie mentions about Instagram and Facebook ads is how some people feel a little averse to using them. “I see a lot of people bragging about the fact that they got this result without using ads at all. It’s amazing and very telling of how hard someone has worked to get great results with only organic traffic. But I don’t see who you’re serving by staying small. Why not go bigger? You can make a bigger impact on people’s lives by using Instagram and Facebook ads.”
How do I know who to target with my Instagram and Facebook ads?

- What is your target customer’s day to day like and how does what you’re sharing with them relate to that?
- What are their frustrations and what pains them related to your topic?

- What kind of support do they want? What kind of inspiration or information do they need to move away from their pains and towards their desires.
